    Ewe and Buffalo

    A ewes' milk cheese made in the cheddar style, and a very striking one thing it is too. Fleece is an almost translucent, pearly white, with a wonderfully silky smooth texture. There's nothing else quite like it.

    Tastes very good: Fleece, which won a Silver Medal at the 2007 World Cheese Awards, has definitely earned its place in the select band that is our Somerset Selection!

    Fosseway?  The famous Roman Road of Fosse Way runs close to the village of Ditcheat, where the Somerset Cheese Company is based.
