    Cheese Wedding Cakes

    Named after one of my favourite spots - wonderful Lundy off the Devon coast - this beautifully balanced cake weighs in at 7.3kg and would suit a gathering of 70-80 people.

    There's a Quicke's Mature Cheddar for the base, then a delicious wheel of Devon Blue.  Ewes' milk cheeses are steadily gaining in popularity, so above that here's Tala, from Cornwall's Menallack Farm.  A small Cornish Blue supports a little Vulscombe goats' cheese - this is the version wih peppercorns just to add a bit of interesting texture.

    As  an option, you can also have the Lundy with a base of Quicke's Oak-Smoked Cheddar.  Just choose from the drop-down box above.

    Decorated by Annie Howes, photographed by Bim.  Remember, though, that Annie's decorations aren't included - so you'll need to identify a creative person to take on the role of cake decorator!
