Gaperon has been made in the Auvergne for over 1200 years and is therefore a truly perfected recipe. The rind is seasoned with peppercorns and garlic which makes it quite spicy. Formidable on french bread. What's it taste like? Strong and spicy with a slightly smokey taste that comes from the finished cheese being hung above a fire on a hook to dry. Where's it from? Imported from Auvergne and affineured by Jacques Hennart. Packaging: Wrapped as a whole round cheese of 300g. Â Â
